High-power direct diode sources with shaped beams for industrial processes
Each industrial process needs its energy delivered in a different way: a compact, high-irradiance spot for welding or cladding, or a homogeneously heated line or surface for heat treating, forming, drying or curing. Direct diode lasers offer the highest wall-plug efficiency and allow the beam to be shaped to each process, without going through a fiber.
Monocrom designs and manufactures multi-kilowatt direct diode sources in sealed modules, with interchangeable optics that generate spots, lines and areas of homogeneous irradiance, from a few W/cm² to tens of kW/cm². Pattern dimensions and working distance are adapted to each process, even beyond one meter, and several modules can be combined to cover larger surfaces. We supply the source with its power and control electronics, including closed-loop temperature control with a pyrometer.
For lower-power processes we also offer fiber-coupled diode bars.
